CISMA Project Second General Assembly
Info
Our colleagues Charles Baudinet, David Bastin (GeMMe - Université de Liège), and Robert Baudinet (representing Matvision) presented the progress of our work on the CISMA project during the General Assembly held on 25–26 November in the Netherlands.

As leaders of WP2 – “Scrap as a Sustainable Raw Material”, our team focuses on two key objectives:
🔸Analyze current fluxes of scrap (internal to the steelmakers and commercial/public market);
🔸Propose and test strategies to improve the quality of post-consumer scrap using the robotic sorting line.
Final ambition of the CISMA project:
To develop 100% recycled steel products for mass-market steel sheet consumer goods, reducing environmental impact while maintaining high performance and quality.
The General Assembly was also a great opportunity for the consortium to visit Tata Steel Nederland, with an impressive tour of their casting, production, and R&D facilities.
