What is the link between the recycling of critical metals and the hospital sector?
The hospital sector is a major user of medical devices containing critical metals. In collaboration with four hospitals, our colleague Thomas Néron, holder of the Chair in Circular Economy funded by the Walloon Region as part of the Circular Wallonia / WIN4C strategy, is carrying out his research with the aim of identifying new sources of critical metals (using SEM imaging) and developing practical solutions for recovering them.
