ATHY
Lifelong Learning Education
Advanced Training in Hydrometallurgy
ATHY was an interactive and advanced short course in hydrometallurgy for strategic metals recycling designed for researchers in the field of extractive metallurgy. The programme was targeted at junior and senior researchers who are active in researching in the field of metals recycling and ores processing through hydrometallurgy. The GeMMe researchers represented one third of the participants, other participants stemming from partner organisations. The project aimed at inviting high-level speakers to deliver an advanced training in the field of hydrometallurgy with a special focus on strategic metals. The courses focused both on theory and case studies.
The initiative gathered EIT Raw Materials Members with similar needs and helped them to reinforce their European contact network. It also aimed at inviting internationally recognised experts to foster knowledge transfer and collaboration outside Europe. At the same time, it offered a unique opportunity for SME to train their staff.
