efficient processes for the recovery of metals and minerals
The recovery of metals from complex raw materials requires the use of unit processes that consume little energy and generate effluents and residues in controlled quantities. The development of efficient treatment processes is one of GeMMe's major concerns. Particular attention is paid to the challenges of moving from laboratory scale to pilot scale. With this in mind, GeMMe researchers are also increasingly looking at the possibilities offered by digital process simulation and life cycle analysis.
